Center for Foresight and Innovation - Playbook -
This is what I was waiting for! Stanford finally released a comprehensive guide to using their foresight methods in a free ‘Playbook for Strategic Foresight and Innovation’. I was working with some of the tools already and will most certainly continue using them. Download the thing here:
Beck 'Produces' A Genius Innovation That Appeals To The User-Generated Generation -
In the wake of Modern Guilt and The Information, Beck’s latest album comes in an almost-forgotten form—twenty songs existing only as individual pieces of sheet music, never before released or recorded. Complete with full-color, heyday-of- home-play-inspired art for each song and a lavishly produced hardcover carrying case (and, when necessary, ukelele notation), the Song Reader is an experiment in what an album can be at the end of 2012—an alternative that enlists the listener in the tone of every track, and that’s as visually absorbing as a dozen gatefold LPs put together.
The songs here are as unfailingly exciting as you’d expect from their author, but if you want to hear “Do We? We Do,” or “Don’t Act Like Your Heart Isn’t Hard,” bringing them to life depends on you.
: Berlin Geekette of the Week -
Meet Franziska Krüger, Head of Germany at 23. A German native, who has lived in Austria, Australia, Taiwan and the Netherlands before deciding to help change the way we will look at websites in the not-so-far future.
Interviewed by Jeanette Gusko, PHD student and PR consultant.
This is hilarious, freaky and beautiful at the same time! Visitors to the TADAO CERN studio were invited to participate in an unprecedented photo session called “Blow Job” where a strong current of air was blown into their faces creating some incredibly funny facial expressions.

In times of change learners inherit the earth; while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists. — Eric Hoffer
Speakers - Design Intersections - Franziska C.E. Krüger -
The end of March I will be in Minneapolis for the Design Intersections Summit at the University of Minnesota. This years theme asks “Tweak or Leap? - What does Design Thinking demand?” and I am looking forward to discuss that as well as facilitate an assignment with the participants of the conference for 4Front. We will also kick off a Knowmadic Lab with John Moravec.
Exciting times since I will move on to NYC after that and also meet with Matthew Abrams who is the founder of Mycelium School. More on that later.
